Lightmonkey Christmas mini shoot information
Some tips to help your photoshoot run smoothly…
- Our Christmas Mini Shoots will take place at our studio, at Avia House, Avia Close, Apsley, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 9TH.
- Avia House is the big white building on the right as you drive in. For parking turn left down the side of the house (it feels a little like you are going into their garden). There are clearly allocated spaces for the studio.
- The studio is upstairs, clearly signposted. Please wait on the sofa, on the landing, and we will call you in when it is time. Feel free to use the toilet facilities if you need to whilst you wait.
-Please arrive a few minutes early. These sessions are very much short and sweet and we have just 15 minutes to capture some beautiful images of your family. We cannot delay or push your slot back as we have back to back appointments all day.
- We will have two possible set ups - a Christmas set up as shown above and an optional Christmas Carousel set, just for kids. We will also have a range of props, including our popular children’s faux fur capes.
- Photographing children is a joint effort, and usually a lot of fun. Mummy and daddy will always get the best smiles, so we’ll almost certainly be calling upon you to help get the best out of your little ones.
- Clothes wise for the plain set: The plainer the better and try and avoid bright clashing colours and logos. Avoid Anything that might date quickly and big blocks of black. Jeans, a plain top and bare feet work well, as does a pretty dress. Pastels and neutrals work best. Coordinate as best you can, ie in similar colours.
- For the Christmas set the tone is very much set by you: for classic images Navy, burgundy, creams, dark green, silvers, gold, white and camel tones work fantastically well. We have a small range of fur capes for little girls to borrow too, if you choose. If you want a little Christmas cheese, then do feel free to bring something a little Christmassy.
- No food or drink will be permitted in the studio area.
- Your images will be edited and delivered within 7 days of your shoot via an online gallery, emailed to the email address you used on booking. For more information about pricing etc please see the information page here.
